A Le Génie de la Bastille és a MAMŰ Társaság művészeti csereprogramjának részeként kerül megrendezésre a „Négy francia művész Budapesten” című kiállítás 2025. október 17. és 26. között.
A Párizsban működő Le Génie de la Bastille egyesület 1984-es megalakulása óta népszerűsíti és őrzi a kortárs képzőművészet értékeit. Az egyesület második alkalommal rendez kiállítást tagjainak munkáiból a budapesti MAMŰ Galériában.
A Le Génie az 1988-as „Portes Ouvertes à l’Europe” című program elindítása óta foglalkozik nemzetközi csereprogramok megvalósításával, lehetőséget adva ezáltal a kultúrák közötti párbeszédre és művészeti találkozókra. A francia és a magyar művésztársaság között fellobbant, új eszmecserének köszönhetően a kimeríthetetlenül inspiráló dialógus és a kollaboráció folytatódik.
A MAMŰ és a Le Génie de la Bastille hiper-individualista korszakunk atipikus példái, melyek nem engedik homályba veszni a határokon is átívelő együttműködés fontosságát, új projektek kidolgozását, új távlatok megnyitását, művészeti mobilitás programok, cserekiállítások lebonyolítását.
A jelenlegi tárlat a két kollektíva között létrejött diskurzus negyedik részét képezi, melyet 2025 júniusában a MAMŰ művészeinek a Galerie du Génie de la Bastille-ban bemutatott kiállítása előzött meg.

Dans le cadre du programme d’échanges artistiques entre Le Génie de la Bastille et la Société MAMŰ, l’exposition intitulée « Quatre artistes français à Budapest » se tiendra du 17 au 26 octobre 2025.
Depuis sa fondation en 1984, l’association parisienne Le Génie de la Bastille promeut et préserve les valeurs de l’art visuel contemporain. C’est la deuxième fois que l’association présente une exposition des œuvres de ses membres à la Galerie MAMŰ de Budapest.
Depuis le lancement du programme « Portes Ouvertes à l’Europe » en 1988, Le Génie s’engage dans la réalisation de programmes d’échanges internationaux, offrant ainsi des opportunités de dialogue interculturel et de rencontres artistiques. Grâce au nouvel échange d’idées entre les communautés artistiques françaises et hongroises, ce dialogue inépuisablement inspirant et cette collaboration se poursuivent.
MAMŰ et Le Génie de la Bastille sont des exemples atypiques dans notre époque hyper-individualiste : ils défendent l’importance de la coopération transfrontalière, de l’élaboration de nouveaux projets, de l’ouverture de nouvelles perspectives, ainsi que la mise en œuvre de programmes de mobilité artistique et d’expositions d’échange.
L’exposition actuelle constitue le quatrième volet du dialogue établi entre les deux collectifs, faisant suite à l’exposition présentée par les artistes de MAMŰ à la Galerie du Génie de la Bastille en juin 2025.

As part of the art exchange program between Le Génie de la Bastille and the MAMŰ Society, the exhibition “Four French Artists in Budapest” will be held from October 17 to 26, 2025.
Founded in 1984, the Paris-based association Le Génie de la Bastille has been promoting and preserving the values of contemporary visual art. This will be the second time that the association presents an exhibition of its members’ works at the MAMŰ Gallery in Budapest.
Since launching the program “Portes Ouvertes à l’Europe” in 1988, Le Génie has been engaged in organizing international exchange programs, creating opportunities for intercultural dialogue and artistic encounters. Thanks to the renewed exchange of ideas between the French and Hungarian art communities, this inexhaustibly inspiring dialogue and collaboration continues.
MAMŰ and Le Génie de la Bastille stand as atypical examples in our hyper-individualistic era — they safeguard the importance of cross-border cooperation, the development of new projects, the opening of new horizons, and the realization of programs promoting artistic mobility and exchange exhibitions.
The current exhibition represents the fourth chapter of the ongoing dialogue between the two collectives, following the show presented by MAMŰ artists at the Galerie du Génie de la Bastille in June 2025.
